Chicago’s multi-instrumentalist, famous in the international circuit, is considered among the most charismatic and versatile guitarists today as well as one of the world’s most prestigious performers of Jimi Hendrix’s music. Stan Skibby has won important awards, has won several competitions in the U.S. for his tribute to Hendrix and has participated in numerous television broadcasts and international festivals, demonstrating everywhere, in addition to similarity, an impressive closeness to Jimi’s guitar style and stage presence.
He has a rich career in collaborations with the blues masters: Albert King, Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Hubert Sumlin, Otis Rush, Koko Taylor, Phil Guy, John Primer, Eddie Clearwater, Magic Slim and many others. Left-handed like Hendrix, he has repeatedly accompanied Billy Cox, bassist of the Band of gypsys, Jimi’s latest line-up. He is currently engaged in the Hendrix Experience Tour 2014.
